Life has been crazy, but wonderful for me this year. I started off the beginning of February by getting engaged to my boyfriend, to then finding out a month later I was pregnant with a little surprise! Before finding out about the baby, we intended to get married in a year (or more). But, sometimes things change. We are both not very conventional, but the farther along in my pregnancy I went, the more it felt important to me to be married before our little one was born.

Long story short, after first thinking about eloping to Las Vegas to have an Elvis wedding, plans ended up changing when some family members weren’t happy about that plan. Instead we are having a backyard wedding at my mom’s house come Saturday, June 20. The plan is to have something small and casual with immediate family (less than 15 people). The tentative idea I have for the wedding is to do a vintage/retro barbeque style thing. I thought it would be fun to share with you all some of my ideas for my little wedding! (Of course, these ideas could easily change completely — who knows!)
