Hello Sailor!

May 3, 2013

Today is what would have been my grandfather’s 88th birthday. He passed away one year ago exactly one week from his 87th birthday. My grandfather was a sailor in World War II, so I thought this “sailor inspired” photo shoot was the perfect thing to honor his memory.

It is hard to believe it’s been a year, things have changed so much for me and everyone in my family. We have all had to grow and move forward in our own ways. Losing someone is hard, but sometimes it is incredible what that loss can bring to your life…

Here’s to you, Grumps!

You look just like him! This is a really beautiful shoot. I’ve been wanting to ask you… How is it that all the different sizes you model seem to fit you? Do you pin the larger sizes in the back? I’m wondering b/c I try to figure out what the clothes will look like on me based on how they look on you, b/c we have similar body types and sizes. I haven’t ordered yet, but I’m always thinking about it. One of these days! Thanks xoxo

Thank you! As it for the sizing/fit of the items and fitting me, a lot of it is what TYPES of items I choose. A lot of the dresses and skirts are fuller and have an elastic waist. For larger tops and dresses I will sometimes add a belt to fit me better. I hope that answers your question!
