I was trying to think of a clever story or something witty to say to go with this photo shoot, but all I got was a blank brain. Sometimes, a picture really does “speak a thousand words.” They can remind you of the importance of the simple pleasures in life or the beauty that surrounds our daily life. The gorgeousness in a field of green grass and the warm sun beating on your head in the springtime… I think ‘Troy’ from the movie Reality Bites said it right:
“There’s no point to any of this.
It’s all just a…
A random lottery of meaningless tragedy...
and a series of near escapes.
So I take pleasure in the details, you know.
A Quarter-Pounder with cheese.
Those are good.
The sky about… ten minutes before it starts to rain.
The moment where your laughter becomes a cackle.
And I sit back, and I… I smoke my Camel straights.
And I ride my own melt.”
