While down in Southern California this past week, we spent one of those days down in Malibu at a native land sight that has been made into a Chumash (the local native people) village called Wishtoyo.
The contrast of this very beautiful place, dot smack in the middle of the over populated and much inflated coast line that is Malibu–is sad and amazing at the same time. My neon pink purse seemed to be the epitome of this–the fake plastic Malibu Barbie, set against the natural background that is a mixture of beach fluidity and rustic desert-like landscape.
