New in Store: Store Explosion!

January 13, 2013

As I mentioned in my “2013 Aspirations,” I want to build up the business in the store. One of the ways of doing this is the stock in the store. The more you have in, the more options customers have. Mary Poppins Calling!

January 10, 2013

For some reason I feel a bit ‘Mary Poppins‘-ish in this photo shoot with this vintage London Fog rain coat. Maybe it is my great affinity for the books, movie, and play… Hmm…

What I always loved about Mary Poppins is that she was this great character and super-nanny, but she wasn’t all warm and cuddly. This is even more so seen in the books than in the movie.

In the books, she would take Jane and Michael on these fantastical adventures. When they got back to ‘reality’ and Jane and Michael said anything about it, Mary Poppins would basically call them crazy.  Telling them they were imagining things. Great way to build character and security Mary!

“Practically perfect in every way” and a way sassy bi-atch with an attitude light years ahead of her time–who wouldn’t want to be like Mary Poppins?!
