Curvy Elle Lately

July 22, 2014

I’ve been spending the last couple of weeks settling into a routine in my new “office” at my mom’s house with great success. I’m still figuring out things, but all in all, I think this will work! Here are a few things that have been going on here at The Curvy Elle. For more of the same, make sure to follow me on Instagram.

1. Showing off a new (to me) cut offs last week. Such a great summer addition!

2. Details of above shorts. I love the floral print on this denim!

3. Found this 1970’s era Easy Bake Oven while on one of my regular thrifting trips. It is always fun running across things like this.

4. A lovely look from a recent photo shoot.

5. Is is sad to be really excited by these new pink mailers I bought for The Curvy Elle Shop?

6. Trying some fair food at the County fair. When in Rome, as they say…

Curvy Elle Lately

A lot has happened recently in my life, here are a few snippets of those events through some Instagram pictures. (Remember to make sure to follow me, if you aren’t already!)

1.  I made a tough decision to move The Curvy Elle Studio & Show Room out of my rented office space and temporarily into my mom’s house until I decide where to move it permanently. A bittersweet goodbye, but I’m hopeful and optimistic for the future!

2.  An autograph of Lena Dunham my mom brought back with her on a trip to New York for a conference. The story behind the message is: In typical “mom style” she told Lena that she had a daughter her age. Her response was to say, “we are age twins!”

3.  The metallic trim on a beautiful vintage dress I thrifted recently.

4.  The mess at my mom’s house in the midst of my office move.

***

5.  Helping my grandmother give herself a home permanent. You don’t see that too often!

6.  Setting up my new studio space and Lulu the Cavalier decided it is her favorite new place to take a nap!
