Since being down in Southern California to help my mom run an event, I have been working hard and hardly working you can say. I was commissioned, when her regular photographer couldn’t make it, to take pictures of said event.

Please take note, I am in no way a photographer. I dabble in picture taking for this blog, but I have never before taken pictures for someone else.  It has been a learning experience, for sure! I wouldn’t says ‘no’ to doing it again! We shall see how the pictures end up coming out– that’s the real proof!

I had big plans of having the time to do some thrifting for The Curvy Elle Shop. Then reality happened…  When you are a part of these types of events things never goes as planned! So, no thrifting for me–that will have to wait till I get home.

One positive is that I have had the free time, in between taking pictures, to do some sketching! I love shopping for plus size vintage and running my shop, but… and there is always a ‘but…’ My dream is to have some of my own plus size creations made or make them myself to sell to all you lovely ladies out there. I have been procrastinating, and feel like the time has come that I need to have those wheels start churning! Dreams don’t happen by sitting with your thumb up your butt. It is time to ‘do,’ and my sketching is the perfect start to that process. Creation starts at step one for anything and everything!
