I mentioned a while back (as in the beginning of February!), that  my boyfriend and I had gotten engaged and would post more about it later. Here it is, almost April, and I’m posting more of an “official” announcement.

We did not go the traditional route with our engagement, but we are both not traditional people. There isn’t any crazy corny engagement story (thank goodness!). We love each other and want to spend our life together. We picked out my engagement ring together — which I love (see above).  There isn’t a wedding date set yet, but probably in a year or so. Nothing big, just something nice and simple. I have to say, 2015 has been a great year so far!

Also, you may have seen the engagement ring picture I posted on Instagram. Yes, it is a completely different ring. They didn’t set the diamond how I wanted it and it broke less than 24 hours after picking it up. After that, I new it wasn’t the right ring, so we returned it and spent another 2 weeks finding the lovely one in the pictures above. It is definitely a story that will be told for the rest of our lives!

As with most holidays, I’m not a big participant — this includes Saint Patrick’s Day. I usually never purposely wear green and I don’t care about going out and drinking. But, I thought, since I have this wonderful Vintage Lime Green Dress, I would go against my usual “values” and photograph this dress! What a great way to celebrate (almost) spring! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
