I came across this vintage color block dress in my closet and figured it was time to say ‘goodbye’ to it. I originally photographed it in June 2013 in a post entitled, “Make-Up Free.”  (Obviously) I am without any make up in this shoot. I loved the basic summer style of this dress so much, that I didn’t want to sell it at the time. Here in California, it is one rainy day, so it’s nice to have a little sunshine from summer to brighten the day!

Since having my baby girl, Lorelai, I haven’t been able to do photo shoots and update like before. As she is getting older, it’s get slightly easier to fit in some work (at least this week!). I love taking care of my baby, but I also miss working on my business as much. Here is hoping that this post will give me a jump start back into things!

“Good times come and good times go,
I only wish the good times would last a little longer.”

-Story of My Life, Social Distortion

The original post that this photo shoot was featured in was entitled, “Close Your Eyes and It’s Past…” posted almost exactly 2 years ago.  I had been living back in California for a little over a year and it was right around the time of my ten year high school reunion. I was also living back in my home town, working on this blog and The Curvy Elle Shop, single, and looking to see where life was going to lead me.

Not too long after this, I met the man who would become my husband and father to my soon-to-be baby girl. I headed down a new and different path. A path that I knew I always wanted, but I wasn’t sure when or if it would happen.

I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time — if not ever. Sometimes, you are walking down one path and then before you even realize it, you’re walking down a completely new and beautiful one. I am incredibly thankful that my life changed so much. It happened in a blink of an eye — and it shows that nothing in life is ever set in stone and it is (almost) never too late for things to change…
