When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I tend to shy away from the traditional. I would prefer to wear a ‘Little Black Dress’ or something not expected than a typical red and hearts type attire. Here are a few of my Favorite Valentine’s Day Date Dresses. I did include one traditional red dress and a very non-traditional jumpsuit. I’m not sure what I plan to wear to my own V-day date night (maybe I’ll head to Forever 21 and pick up that velvet dress!), but I do know that my boyfriend and I are going back to the restaurant we went to last year. Last year we were very early on in dating each other, so it will be fun to go back to the same place as a more closer and intimate couple.

Plus Size Healthy Living: Whole 30 Update

January 20, 2015

I am on day 25 of my Whole30. So, five more days to go and still going strong. I still haven’t been able to do a lot of exercise due to shoulder and back injuries, but I have been good at sticking to this program. I have also been taking some long walks the last couple of days. I am feeling really good (physically, mentally, and emotionally). I lost some more inches and pounds and can tell the difference in my body. Doing the Whole30 program has proven to myself that I can make a change to what I’m putting into my body and STICK TO IT.  I think what I have to keep reminding myself and everyone out there that is struggling with their weight and/or health issues — there’s always another plan b (or c, or f, or x), there’s always another change, and most things are not irreversible.

Now is the time to figure out what I will do once I finish this Whole30. Do another one? Do a modified one that has “cheat” meals? Something different? Any ideas or insights from your own experience?
