Woah!
That was quite stressful! As I mentioned in my Goals for 2014, I wanted to migrate The Blog from Blogger to WordPress. This is something I started to work on at the end of 2013. Yesterday I began the actual process of transferring the domain and fully setting up WordPress. I am happy to say that it is now basically done — and in less than 24 hours! Yay!
There will still be some changes in the coming days. I apologize for any issues and inconveniences. Feel free to contact me (or comment on this post) if you are experiencing any issues or have any suggestions.
You’re probably curious as to what (besides the whole layout and WordPress thing) is new around here. Yes, there are some changes and I think they are a pretty darn good start to making this Shop and Blog even better!
→ Shop Integration
You can still find the shop on its main Etsy page, but it’s also been integrated into this site. You will find it above in the navigation bar. You are able to browse through all of the shop items and when you want to purchase an item it forwards you directly to Etsy for the transaction.
→ Post Submissions / Guest Bloggers
For a long time I have wanted to bring in some other voices to this blog. Now, I am opening submissions up to the public. Do you have a post idea that goes with The Curvy Elle’s mission and aesthetic? Why not fill out the form and see if we can get something going!
→ Interns
I am looking for a few good (or just one!) interns. This is another thing that I’ve wanted to do for a long time. This blog and The Shop are growing rapidly and I am feeling the need for some help. I also want to give students and recent grads out there the chance to get some real world experience. Are you located in the San Francisco Bay Area and interested in interning at The Curvy Elle Studio and Show Room? Then go ahead and apply!
→ Styling Sessions by Appointment
You can add this as a third thing I’ve been wanting to do for a while. This goes back to when I first signed the lease on the office space for my studio and show room back in July. I finally feel more ready to have clients come in for physical styling appointments. Of course, you must be located (or visiting!) in the San Francisco Bay Area, but I am now accepting inquiries for styling sessions at The Curvy Elle Studio and Show Room!
